Diff capacity

My owners manual states rear diff capacity at 4 pints (2 quarts). I put in 2 qts, can't feel level with finger, should I top it off until it comes out the fill hole? Or is the specified 2 qts good? BTW the autozone website states 4 quarts, this must be wrong. Thanks

I like to fill until oil just starts to dribble out. Just under 2 qts for the rear diff IIRC. I apply never seize to the plugs and just snug them.
