Hey guys. Ok i know this is gonna be the most noobliest post ever, but I was really wondering if anyone would be willing to go out of their way and just lay out a few auto terms/basic rules to follow. Or suggestions to where I can find out without taking up too much space on this forum. Also, there are some terms I've heard and dont know what they are, so if anyone could clarify them for me it would be greatly appreciated.
Terms I should know but dont:
MAS
Knock
BOV
Cel
Thanks again guys

MAS: Mass Airflow Sensor, it is used to measure how much air is entering the engine so the correct amount of fuel can be added
Knock: When fuel and air in a cylinder explode, instead of burning in a controlled manner pushing the cylinder down. Knocking will cause engine damage
BOV: Blow Off Valve, this "blows off" extra air between the turbos and throttle body in order to reduce pressure to protect the turbo's from damage. It opens after your car has begun to produce positive pressure and the throttle body is shut.
CEL: Check Engine Light, its on the dash, and lights up when your computer notices a sensor isn't reading within its normal values.

one rule to follows...always.
don't touch it if u can't fix it. for example, if u're going to take ur bumper off, don't just go and take off every bolt u see. if u have bolts left over, it's never a good thing.
noob's not a bad thing. we've all got to start somewhere. so just hang in there. cars are just nuts and bolts.
