Head Bolt Question

I just am wondering if its a must to replace the head bolts in my 1987 350 iroc if all i did was remove them ..Is there a spec on how much there aloud to strech befor they have to be replaced or if i even half to worry..

I"m not positive but I don't think they used torque to yield head bolts in 87, so you should be able to reuse them. I reused the bolts on my old 305 engine when the car was still stock.

For what it's worth, on a 87 Buick 3.8 they were TTY bolts. :2cents:

i just replaced them for what there worth im not that cheep but they werent TTY but i found a couple that had some odd wear patterns so just replaced them thanx for the help !!
