Hey all;
As some of you know, it's coming up to the end of the semester this year, and I"M GRADUATING!! I'll be graduating Columbia College Chicago with a bachelors on May 12, and from here on out, I'm going to be finishing up everything that. I'm so close, but have a lot of work to do.

-South Park-style video project for Ecology... kinda started
-Fossil fish to dig out... not even close to done
-Ecology final... due tm
-30 page interactive story... half way done
-Math... DONE!!
-Management final... coming up

I've been destroying these recently, had a lot more before today, but been knocking them off day by day. Had 5 papers to do last week, so I'm taking my time and working on them.

I've got my gallery exhibition thing coming up too. Opening is May 11 and have a huge opening with food and guests. Also have 'industry professionals' coming out to interview us and all. I got my 3 works framed today (did myself) and just have to hang them up in the gallery on thursday.

Plus I'm working on getting a new job as a graphic designer for a Budweiser distribuator. Waiting for a call back sometime this week. More on that at a later time.

I also asked my boss to give me as few hours as possible, and she decides to take a vacation and puts me in at 45 hours these 2 weeks. AND im scheduled to work on my gallery day and graduation... ain't happening.

So basically, I'm taking off from here for a while. I'm blocking it on my home computers so I'm not tempted... as I always am. And I won't be here while I'm at work too. Wish me luck and I'll talk to you guys in 2 weeks or so. Don't make any big changes to the meet without me knowing!

Goodluck finishing everything up this year. School is more important than AF anyways. Sorry guys. I am graduating this year also, but high school. I guess we will see you when you get back.

Congratulations David!!!!!!

It seems like forever ago that I graduated College. I graduated in December of 2000 with a B.S in Chemistry.

What will your B.S. be in?? I'm confused by the new job as a graphic designer and then seeing the Ecology work that you need to finish.

Just think of all the things you get to look forward to, such as repaying 10's of thousands of dollars in school loans and that final stage of "growing up" where you have to be responsible.

Alright, nevermind, I'm almost 30 and there is no way that I'm even close to being responsible. Scratch that part and just pay back the school loans. :p

Good job and we are all very proud of you!!!!!!

Thanks.

My degree is in Digital Media Technology... kinda like a computer science degree, but with more of an arts aspect to it. Included graphic design, web design, programming, networking... everything really.

I told Ecology as just a basic Gen Ed. I needed credit hours, and I took Physics of Music with the same teacher. Probably one of the coolest teachers at the school. It's an easy class, and today we're actually taking a field trip to the Field Museum in Chicago. Sure I hate science, but it's a fun class. Also filled with hotties. That was the same with Math also. I tested out of this class, but I wanted to get my GPA up a little before I left, so I took basic math now and aced it. So easy.

And lucky for me, no student loans. My grandma died right before I started school, and they decided that if I wanted to go there, that they would use that money to pay. I also had a little scholarship for the first 2 semesters (which I lost because of Biology), and I just had to pay for about 1/2 of my last semester here. All in all, wasn't that bad. Total cost for all 4 years was about $70,000 with books and everything. I personally only paid about $2,500. No loans for me... thank god.

I have another 4 years at about $360 / month until mine are done. :disappoin
