guys if you have problems with misfires you can try this painless solution if the problem you have is not in injectors or engine mechanical. Since all our GA's 96 and up I think are SFI type, you can try disconnecting your CAM sensor then your GA will become MFI  Since this gas prices are going up like :screwy: you do not want your GA to misfire and waste more gas than necessary. Another good thing no Check engine light will come on. Your car will behave normally. good luck. Almost left the most important one. Cam sensor connector can be found near your Generator at least on 3.1l (not sure on 3.4L) it is white connector with black, green and red wires. It worked form me :grinyes:. XI and Jim let me know if this is ok idea if not I will respect your comment. No change in Injector pulse width, intake manifold vacuum got better also.

I dont think its wise, and it will throw a DTC even though the lights not on. Pluss the cam sensor works in conjunction with the crank sensor to adjust timming.
Could damage the engine more....

Though, if you have a bad gasket that can cause a bad misss.

Good Luck with this, let me know what happens!

what would be some symptoms of bad CAM sensor, and do you know a way to test it?
