This one has been "parked" for almost three years. Missed a deadline I'd set to finish it, and I guess lost interest, certainly lost sight of it. Just needed a good wash & wax and a few details painted and put on and it's ready to run...

Wow, I have never seen one of those before?! Who makes it? I like it, seems to be a pre-cursor to the XJ220?

I agree with Jon....never seen or even heard about that before. Is it 1/43scale?

Nice build, BTW!

Yes, it's an old Starter kit in 1/43rd scale. I'm pretty sure it came out after the XJ220. A limited run "street car" for those who could afford to race it. Similar, (not at all the same though) to the Ferrari Challenge. More race car than street car, (hence the XJR classification?) You could also hire a driver to race it to raise your odds I guess if you really wanted to win. I think the winner received some monetary compensation, and a replacement car. They sold for about a million bucks at the time.

Man, I feel so old to hear that some people have never even heard about the most beautiful modern Jag. The XJR-15 is a limited edition race / street car derived from the Le Man winner XJR-9. The exterior was designed by Peter Stevens of the McLaren F1 fame. In a sense, the XJR-15 is a modern day XKSS, which was based on the legendary D-type.

Wow! Great build of the most beautiful of all the TWR Jags. An XJR-15 in 1/24th is one of my most longed for kits. But 1/43rd is pretty damn cool too. :) How could you forget about such a fantastic little model almost finished?
