Hey everyone,
I'm back! After finishing my Celica model for over a month, I finally got good pics. As you guys might have heard, Daggerlee helped me take pics of the Celica about 2 weeks ago. The problem was that they didn't come out looking too good. We took the pics on top of my sister's real Celica, but the Celica was real dirty and it ruined the pictures.
:angryfire But he was nice enough to retake the pics.
Right now, I am proud to say that this is my second completed model. :p I had a very good time with this Celica. Everything fit perfectly and it was a simple model. I did run into one problem but it was becuase of self-error. When I cut the window out, I used too much force and cracked it. So i had to reorder the model and used the new window. When i was done with the paint job, I was amazed with how shiny it was. I was worried that this midel would turn out to good becuase I was using black Duplicolor paint and i know how everything shows up on black.
So tell me what you guys think. Tell me everything..lol.
P.S. Look out for my ClK GTR coming up next..................
Here are some of the pictures with the dirty Celica. lol

Who needs antenna's? they affect aerodynamics and make the car look uglier (j/k), anyways, IF you had a celics you'd be driving fast and you would forget about the radio.
Sorry to go off topic there, that celica is one of the nicest models i've ever, you did a great job, I'm adding a celica to my list of cars to purchase (a very long list)

Looks sweet, did you deliberatly do it black to match? You should find those wheels that are on your sis' car and replicate hers completely and try make a "bargain" with her ;)

I've seen this car in person, and it definitely is a work of art!
Still searching for some matching rims though :o I'll let you know if I find any :)

That Celica came out great! I want to build a stock version myself to go with my crazy pseudo-Fauxrd version.
As for the rims, another member here JP'sCelica has a red Celica like this as his 1:1 ride in the Netherlands. When he got the car and the Tamiya kit to match it, we looked at all the possibilities at the time to match the rims, and the closest match are by Fujimi. They are Nismo NS5R rims, 17". Box ID is IU3, and the other # on the box is 19177. I think they can still be had through HLJ and Hobby Search.
After JP built his model, another decent wheel source became available, but they are very scarce. They are the stock Corvette rims in Revell's short-lived 2000 Corvette convertible snap kit, molded in yellow. It has the newer-style thin 5 spoke rims that look quite similar to those on the Celica. This wasn't an easy kit to find, and they aren't in the catalog any more. BUT....I believe the rims are in Revell's pre-decorated custom PT Cruiser that's in a silver/blue paint scheme. If you have access to one of these kits, you might want to take a look at the rims to see if they are acceptable. I have not seen many of this kit available either, but I'll bet places like Michael's and Hobby Lobby would have them, and some hobby shops too.

Cool! jaxson, I think Capelli's has those rims, and knowing their turnover rate, probably the Revell kits Zoom Zoom mentioned too.

Thanxs for all your comments. Uh...about the antenna thing, actually the kit's antenna is int he middle of the car. So i didnt use it, since the antenna on the real car is on the right side of the car's rear.
Lowriders4life...yeah at first when i bought this model, my intentions were to build a replica of my sis's celica. She has a red decal that sayz dragon in chinese in the back, and i was going to get that sticker done in a 1:24 scale. I was going to go to the guy that has the machine to print these decals do it but i didnt when i couldnt find the rims to match. But since ZoomZoom MX-5 told me about the rims that look closest to it, i might rethink it now.
And yeah....lowrider4life, that would be a good bargain. But if im lucky, she might actually hand that car down to me.(keeping my fingers crossed).
Yeah, i think i will check that out Daggerlee. We'll take atrip down there one day. Those Nismo Rims look nice.
So thanxs for all those comments and tips everyone. i hope to have more post coming up with my CLK. I am trying to do a carbon fiber body. So if anyone has any good tips on how to do so, let me know
Until then...later.
