hey guys, i was wondering if the body panels, specifically the rear fender, are welded on or simply bolted on somehow? i am going to get a new panel and want to know if i need to have a shop do the work of if i can do it myself. TIA :D

well the front fenders are bolted on, but the rear quater panel is welded on cause its attached from behind the door all the way back and up to the roof.... if you need to replace the rear quarter panel i highly suggest taking it to a body shop. I work in a a body shop and have seen how they do this procedure. It quite complex for a 'do it yourself' job.

well the fronts are bolted on and the rears are welded. and they are not the cheapest thing either. do not do the rear panel by yourself.

nope :( it's not a bolt on piece like the front fender. no disrespect but, since you asked how to do it, i assume you don't have much experience with body work. that kind of repair really should be done by a body shop.
