I'd love to see snow again. That's one of the things I miss about living in the UK. No white Christmas. :(

I'd love it. I'm more of a winter person than summer (just as long as winter doesn't include non-stop rain like we had this year).

Yes, this is way too early for snow. Good thing we don't have it here yet :D
It's absolutely freezing out today, but no snow...

Come and spend 15mins in direct sun at midday in the middle of an Auckland summer and you will soon change your mind.
After you've been treated for mild burns that is.

Yogs - you don't have the hole in the ozone, we in the Southern Hemisphere do. We are the ones who are now suffering from one of the highest incidences of melanoma (skin cancer) per capita in the world and plastering ourselves with SPF-30+ sunscreen just to walk outside.
We also have minimum 'burn times' broadcast on our nightly news bulletins as part of our weather reports. It's not good when the actual maximum unprotected exposure to the sun for longer than 10 mins @ midday is considered to be unhealthy.
I have one of the folk here @ work undergoing chemo @ the moment for such a tumor. It's not good.
Now if I sound like a tree-hugging greenie (along with some of the other posts that I've made) it's because I'm really conscious of the consequences of some of the everyday things that we do.
Incidentally, snow is something to be celebrated. Time to wax up the X-Country boards dear Yogs, grab the camera and shoot some shots of people not coping with the ingredients of driving and snow...

Holy heck is it cold out tonight!!! BRRRRRRR
I rode my motorcycle (yes, I knew how cold it was) out tonight. I rode a motorcycle at 70mph for about 30 mins through air that was just about 36*F with fog at night... I am about numb. Now if only it snowed. :( Well, not when I was on the bike, of course.

Moppie - Replicant, don’t worry, one day I will be visiting your country and enjoying that hot bright sun. I hope its half as nice as it has been in Hawaii the last few times I've been there over the summer.
I don’t want this to be another debate/argument about global warming but I'll say again the planet may be getting warmer in some places but only arrogant humans believe we are the cause.
-----------------------
DVS - SEND SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT AND A SPACE HEATER! I haven't even got the VR4s ready to be put away for the season yet.

I am dieing for some snow here in CT. I just bought a Nitro powered R/C WRX which is just asking for some snow racing. Just the thought of the little 4wd beast sliding around corners in the snow makes me excited.
Right now the weather is just typical CT fall weather, in the 50s (*F) aith rain every few days but sunny most of the time.

I'll see about the space heater, but I have to reneg on the snow removal equipment. I prefer to hear your rants about how it fuckin' sucks shoveling snow and that it ain't stopping. It's usually about this time of year that you come with your best material.:D:D:D:D

I think it's called the Flat Earth Society or something. :finger: :D :D
Anyway, enough childish antics, Yogs you would really enjoy New Zealand. And if did run into you, you know I would buy you a beer or two.
In only 2 hours driving you could go from a surf beach where it was comfteble to swim (just) to deer hunting in the forest, to catching the last of the ski season.
Or be eating at a fine returant enjoying a nice glass of wine in the Central city, then in less than an hour be sitting on the Vine Yard where that wine was made tasting the next batch.
Just remember to bring lots of sun screen :sun:

Can I advise Yogs to go to NZ very soon while their dollar is still being caught with it's pants down. You will do NZ (after airfares) for about 1/2 price if it's American $$$. Then you can come and stay with me in Australia for a couplea weeks :D

The funny part is, the AUD has its pants around its ankles and very short arms :finger:
