hey guys, with my old civic the cat was on the exhaust manifold. it looks like the spec is the same way. am i right? will a header do away completely with the cat? just stuff i'm trying to clear up before i buy it.

as i recall, when i got my exhuast done, the cat should be under the car and not right after the headers

puting a header on a new 2000+ sentra means you remove the close coupled cat /which is on the exhaust manifold. there is still another cat after wards. the cacoon ;)

ok, kewl. thanks guys. i was just wondering, cuz when i straight piped my civic it was loud and obnoxious (as if i could spell.) plus if i get pulled over a cop can still see the cat if he wanted to. kewl. thanks a lot.
