How do I tell which V8 I have

Hi guys, I just bought my 02 silverado ext cab a few days ago. The guy I bought it from said it was a 5.3 liter v8. I know that the truck is definately a v8, but how do i check to see whether its the 4.8 or the 5.3 liter model? I really dont care which one it is, but im just curious to know. Thanks for your time and help~

If you know that it is bone stock and they haven't done an engine swap, then i would look under the hood and look at the white labels. You could always take the VIN into a dealer as well.

8th Character in the VIN:

V = 4.8
T = 5.3
Z = 5.3 (FlexFuel)
