Passlock bypass

Alright after reading about everyones posts about passlock problems, and bashing GM and all this SH#$. Ive decided to share my info on the problem. First off ive got a 99 GASE 3.4, second ive bypassed the passlock. I wasnt having any issues with the car not starting, i was installing a remote starter, which obviously wont work with a theft system :p . Well anyways, alls i did to bypass the theft system was, (dont quote me on the wire colors :uhoh: ) But i believe it was yellow and black :dunno: . Its the only two really small wires on the lock cyl housing. Alls i did was sodder a resistor between the two wires (couldnt even tell you what Ohm it was I just tried one for SH*%$ and giggles). Then i did the 10 min key relearn, and there you go. I did this last summer, and havent had a single issue with the theft system, my car has always started (besides when my alt and battery went :uhoh:). Again dont quote me on the wire colors, and maybe i lucked out and put the right resistor in there. But i havent had a single issue with passlock since this. I hope this helps some people.

Yes, it probly was the yello wire.

When all one needs to do to usually fix the pass lock issues is to replace the ignition switch and or the lock cylinder. But I guess those parts are not cheap.
