Do you have the stiffer motor mounts? Thats quite a bit of movement upon start up. And it needs to be longer.

what needs to be longer? the video. and yes I know horrible shaking.. I do need motor mounts, and probably the only thing holding me back is I don't know what to buy and how to put them on...Plus I just got done with a major project.. I'm tired, lmao

yeah I was going to use a panasonic dvc pro but it would have taken forever to compress down to a streamable media. Plus it's like huge so I just used my digital cam. Plus it's going to look like crap anyway, it's going on youtube....

derk... i could walk you through it over the phone its soo damn easy. Especially the lower one. Remove the 2 bolts and throw the new one in. The upper requires you to support the engine on a level ground. God i've done soo many of these installs now. I can probably swap both in 20-30 mins. Depending on how rusted the bolts are. Best 65 bucks i ever spent. But now that TTR came out with the whole upper replacements i am tempted to snag me one of those instead of the inserts.

Make more videos.....do a documentary on your car......I need an engine in my car, then I think I want to turbo my 2.4.....how would I go about doing it, starting from scratch, I know basically nothing about it......list of everything needed, prices?

www.howstuffworks.com search turbochargers....
then look up kits and price FMICs and BOV's and Charge pipe and then you'll see that you don't want to do it anymore, lol

bah, the price isn't that bad if you know people or build it yourself....my complete setup was less than $4500, but retails for about $6k....also i did all the labor myself so its not terrible...if anyone wants a price breakdown, let me know because like Dark Eliso said, it might make you reconsider....

^ This coming from someone who couldn't figure out how to remove their headlights :nono:
For a decent set up, plus tuning, you'd probly be looking at $3,000-$5,000. It's not like a muffler, you can't just bolt it on and go out for a drive. You have to get computer reflashing, proper tuning, there's ALOT to it. Go borrow Maximum Boost by Corky Bell from your library or buy it and get reading.

I know the costs involved. Its mods like these that set you apart from the average pepboys tuners from the guys who know what their doing and want to play hardcore.
Derk- They eliminate engine movement putting the power to the wheels without loosing any of that through unwanted motor movement. It also allows you to not have a need for a flex pipe which many of the aftermarket headers make you loose so its a necessity for doing one of those or your going to eventually crack/ break something in your exhaust. Only down side is that everything becomes more notice able engine wise. Like if you have a misfire/ sloppy idle.. your going to feel and hear it. But their are fun to have, trust me. One of the best cheaper mods i have done.

They put a piece of flexpipe on the exhaust a little bit down from the turbo before where the cat was suppose to be.. but yeah, that's what I was thinking about the mounts. yeah my idle is still abit weird...
