Ok I am gonna order a JDM 4-1 Header but i was just wondering if anyone has installed one of these into there EF Civic with B16a. Just curious how difficult it will be and if it sits low to the ground.I'm also intrested as to how to get 2 oxygen sensors on it.
Thanks

Well you also need to buy a cat for it. Its not gonna be that low to the ground. Not sure about the o2 sensors though.

You may have to hammer your crossmembers to fit the jdm header or purchase a Z10 or placeracing or any aftermarket ones being sold. If you have a Hasport billet mount kit, it's supposedly 1/2 an inch taller than the older or other models so clearance is ok. My bottom shield was late in delivery so this is what happened when I accidentally drove through a street being prepped to be paved and all the man-holes were exposed. You can also see the clearance from the picture.

Here's how the old crossmember looked like...

About the 2nd O2, I'm running only 1 O2 sensor (LS motor) but will eventually get my PR3 ECU chipped to eliminate 2nd O2 when I drop the Vtec motor. You can get an attachment to the header from inlinefour.com or jdmhonaparts.com to accomodate an O2 then run the
2nd one from the CAT.:flash:

Thanks for all the great pics. I'm still debating whether to get the JDm one or the regular one cause of all the added stuff i have to do because of the size of the collector and O2 sensor and the cross member. I was thinking about just getting the 90-91 LS one that is 2 piece. But i dunno:rolleyes:

BTW do you have a pic of the new crossmember?

Let me tell you, I replaced this header once with a stock 2pc cast type R exhaust manifold and the difference is noticeable...I did it to pass smog but found out later that it would have passed with the jdm header. I have the cast type R too in case you want it...$75 plus shipping. its a heavy sucker though...:flash:

Dont have one on file but I'll take a pic of it tonight...Where you from? If you're not too far, I can drop it off and you can check it out or even use em and find out if you like em. Its just sitting in my garage.
