I would like to change my own oil, I know how to change the oil and everything I just want to know when you jack the front of the car up, to change the oil, front brakes ect. do u jack it from the center of the car and if so, where in the center, or do u jack it from the jack points as if your changing a flat. any help would be appericated!

thanks,

Welcome to AF. If you jack up from the side you are tilting the oil pan so a full drain will not happen. Jack it up fron the front under the front subframe crossmember. Jack stands and a floor jack are required here.

For changing oil, I've found nothing easier than to buy a pair of ramps to drive the car onto, although I'm assuming you have a driveway to park the car on. I recommend Rhino ramps, which are made of plastic, so they are lightweight but are surprisingly strong.:p
