In case you haven't heard or seen it. There was a horrific accident in NY involving a new 335i Coupe. The car was literally blown into pieces.

It's a shame. God bless his family and friends.
I hope this is a reminder what speed can really do.

It's fortunate they didn't take anyone with them.

they need to teach more in drivers ed to help prevent this kind of stuff.

How can you blame the school system for this?
It's more like the parents of the driver should have taught their son to be responsible if they were going to give him a 335i

Parents are idiots for giving their kid a new E92.
Fuckin rich kids...
They had to be going very fast...A BMW is a very safe car, let alone they're tanks...carved from solid blocks of granite...That cars is basically vaporized....
And why they would be going that fast on the Northern Parkway I have no idea...the road is so worn down from so much traffic, just to give you an idea, there are bumpy and wavy dips running along in each lane where the cars' tires go in the lane...it's that worn down. That + BMW's rather taut suspension = scary to drive at high speeds...
Anyone who's driven on the LIE would know...

More teenagers who think they are invincible. Fantastic. It's just a shame they will never get the opportunity to learn from their mistake.

Lesson to be learned. Speed kills! RIP.
My son in New York sent me this link. They were going in excess of 100 mph in an area where the speed limit is 55 mph. The pic shows some of the bigger parts of the Bimmer that were collected.

Actually, I find it pretty miraculous how the engine block is still intact....after a crash like that
