i am not a very well electrician to new(er) cars especially not my 91' Honda Prelude Si 2.1L, my dash lights went out the other night, and i am thinking it has a bad ground. The gear lights, seatbelt light, brake lights, etc... are working but the lights around the speedometer, tachometer, just are not working. NO it's not the DIM light ;) is there any other good suggestions you guys/girls can give me please?

the difference is length which translates into location of the filter
a short ram keeps the filter in the engine bay while a cold air usually places the filter down near the ground behind the bumper and out of the engine bay to get colder air
while the colder air is better for performance you also run the risk of hydrolock if you traverse through deep water where as with the short ram this is not an issue.

I have an AEM v2 and love it and recomend it but I dont know what your budget is...if heavy rain isnt a problem where you are at get a cai...for piece of mind they sell bypass valves to prevent hydrolock

I read that the bypass valves will take away any kind of power from the cai, but who knows. I guess people don't have a porblem with them. What's so special about the V2? I don't understand it! Does it make the air flow in at a spiral, which improves air flow? I have a short ram on my lude, and I get better mileage with it. Not like Toyota Prius style, but you gain some mileage from it.

the v2 has a resonance chamber which is supose to do something with the frequency to increase the air volume...it also has a deeper sound than other intakes

Strange. In a couple years, AEM will have figured out how to make 50 hp gain from an intake, because of something stupid like ground vibrations mixed with nuclear powered filters. Speaking of 50 hp intakes, some fool I know owned a 2nd gen lude, and he said that aftermarket intakes give you 50 hp. I need to find me one of those. :P
