Turn signal burn out

How do you replace the front turn signal light bulb ?? My left turn signal bulb on my 97 Grand Am went out, got the new bulb but i couldn't figure out how to replace it. I am sorry if this has been ask before but i couldn't find the answer. There are no screws on the light cover, only 4 clips holding it but i can't get the bottom ones out since they are located just inside the bumper. Can't get the light socket out from behind because there's not enough room to get my hand in there, even though i can see the socket. I can't get to it from underside either since it's also covered. Replacing a light bulb used to be so easy but now it's just ridiculous. Can someone can give me some directions ??? Thanks
