91 blazer

I recently bought a 91 blazer for offroading, but it doesnt seem to have much power for what I would like to do with it. So I was wondering if anyone could help me out by suggesting a cam to make a little more hp and some good torque.

The motor is a stock 350 TBI converted into carburated with a inline fuel pump which I would like to exclude, because if you stall it out the pump still runs and dumps gas into the oil. A new cam with the lobe to use a block mounted fuel pump is a must for me right now but I would like to get a few extra hp and some more torque if its possible to make with a cam in a stock 350. Im going to put a dual plain intake on it and a 650cfm carb.

Thanks in advance for any info and help that is given

Thanks

You can stay at the same fuel economy and add much power in the block/heads. A 350 block with flat pistons a mild cam and big valve heads usually pushes 375-400 HP. Plenty by far even for a heavy blazer. The extra power will reduce fuel costs, because you will spend less time with the skinny pedal against the carpet.

With some axle work you can get it it to climb anything or push through a river. The suspension on blazers are log wagon rough they need more flex (tire up and down). And putting axle lockers on it will having it climbing the walls.
