swappin? I haven't changed them yet. Well still got the hub caps on right now. Need to get those little things to keep your dust caps on when you don't have a hubcap. Have any idea what I'm talking about? or am I just talking crazy talk?

It's snowed 1 time in the past year so I think I will be safe leaving them on.

Damn, well, i there are NO tires on my steelies, so in the winter, no traction is BADD, and trust me, these tires on the steelies are BAAALD! well, it snow'd like 2 time last year, so i wont have to worry about plowing around!

I had my CRX in the winter a year ago when it had the stock motor. I had really skinny tires on it..and the thing still just spun around in circles if there was snow on the ground...heheh.......it's just too damn light....ah well...this year will be VTEC on ice in a rex;) :p

here too. i wait for it to snow to stick on the studded tires. generally the VX rims have studs but they are currently on hoopty whoop. so i guess studs on black steelies this year?

I HATE SNOW :finger4:. i literally make up any excuse i can to not go outside.

I have directional tires on my 16's, those REALLY suck in the snow.
Hopefully i have good tires on the steelies in my basement, i need to go look sometime soon...

Hey kris, do you have a problem with your dust caps popping off? Mine keeping popping off and I have to listen to this stupid rattle all the time till I finally take the hub cap off and put it back on. Know any good way to make it to were they will stay on? or if they do pop off, will it hurt anything?

Snow? What is that? oh right, the stuff that we don't have done here. On a high note, it was freezing this morning. A 58 degrees is so cold i had to turn on my heat in my car.

It's like 60's here during the day, and 30's at night. I freeze when I get off work.

its the little gold piece in the center of the wheel. Goes over the big nut holding the axle on.

why do some people have silver steelies and some like me have black steelies? was it an option or something? maybe some of the models didnt come out with the ugly H hubcaps so they had silver wheels with beauty rings or something.?

GTA
10-18-2002, 05:07 AM
black ones were ones that came with hubcaps. grey ( silver ) ones were on the ones that didnt have hubcap from the factory. Some came with chrome beauty rings and some didnt... i know this cause my car has greys with no beauty rings and my stepmom is the original owner so i know everything thats ever been done to this car :)

I got my black ones off my girl's 00 civic, which had hubcaps & a set of silver ones w/ a chrome center cap off a 92 civic.

correction: don't have the hub caps on anymore, looks a lot better to me, other people disagree, but they don't understand. Ill get some pics tomorrow of it.
