What to do with plastic trees??

Hey guys, just a quick question about the left over plastic trees from a kit. Are they recyclable or anything? I've got two boxes full of them and I'd like to get rid of them, however if it were possible i'd rather not throw them out. I'll use a couple for constructing rollcages and what not, but as for the rest i'd like to be rid of them. Just curious if there is an environmentally friendly way of getting rid of them or using them for something else? I've thought about maybe melting them to form something else but doesnt that produce harmful vapors? I think custom moulding is way out of my league. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I plant them all around my plastic village, that I drive my plastic cars through.

Sprue is recyclable. Japanese and German kits usually have recycling marks on the reverse sides of the sprue sheets. And it's all styrene, regardless of if it's marked or not.

You can make your own plastic putty if you pour them in 'trichlorethylene' and let them melt (sorry, this word is in french as I don't know how it's written in english)

Trichloroethylene, a nonflammable toxic liquid C2HCl3 used especially as an industrial solvent. (http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?va=trichloroethylene)

I use a tiny part of my sprues for making piping attachments, but that's about it. I recycle the rest.

I mainly break mine up and use them to stir paint.

Hey Steve.

I always try to keep a bunch of them handy, they're often ideal diameter for rollcage tubing. And I make a lot of rollcages. :p
