I'm pretty sure mine didn't come with one, to my understanding only the touring G20s came with one.(correct me if i'm wrong) My question is, besides other G20s, where else can find a doner LSD? Thanks

You can use one from an SE-R or an NX2000. If you use them, you will also need to change the inner CV joint on the driver's halfshaft. In all cases you will need to change the outer gearbox case.

I'm currently using an NX2000 tranny in my G and the LSD is awesome. I think Geo meant the passenger half shaft tho if I remember correctly that was the one I had to frankenstein :)

No. It's the driver's halfshaft that must be changed. The VLSD sticks out from the final drive unit and requires a different CV joint.

The nismo one may not be good unless your turbocharged or something. Cuz if they do have one then it might be geared for something a little more powerful like a primera. But if not, cool. Anyone have a write up of changing out LSDs?

The Nissan Motorsports VLSD (not Nismo - that is a Japanese Company) will work quite nicely with our cars. They have the same splines as the SE-R and NX however, so you will still need to chance the inner CV joint on the driver's halfshaft.
They are also rather expensive from what I've heard. I'd get a Quiafe instead.

Is it more expensive than the nismo? I'll try and find their site...

They are pretty similarly priced (around a grand). The Quaife does require the gearbox to already have a Nissan VLSD, but finding a used one cheap would do.
BTW, it's not a Nismo VLSD. Nissan Motorsports USA is in no way affiliated with Nissan Motorsports International (Nismo).

Should be able to.
Keep in mind that the last year for the VLSD was 97.

It limits the rotational speed differential between your two drive wheels. What this does is allow you to put more power down to the ground and get more traction.
