2000 EX blower fan, A/C not working

Although I am reading this may be a common problem on CRVs, hopefully this will be the exception and just be the fan. My friend's 2003 (sorry, not a 2000) EX has 80k miles, all fan speeds not working, no A/C, but button lights up. No noise that A/C compressor is running. Never had to do any work to the A/C to date. Heat trickles in but not the usual flow from the fan. All fuses OK. No idiot lights come up. Are the no a/c and no fan realted?

I am having the same problem with my CRV. Have you been able to figure it out?

This was actually my friend's who said that the fuse blew from a shorted wire somewhere. He could not remember anything else. Good luck.
