My air cond will not blow cold air, nor will the heater blow hot air. The compressor works fine .I was told it was some kind of relay switch. could it be? Please help as summer is around the corner. Thanks in advance!

Do you have ACC (auto climate control) or, do you have manual temp & fan control?

Do you have ACC (auto climate control) or, do you have manual temp & fan control? I have ACC and the control works as in it will go to the temp I sellect, but does not blow cool or heat. Thanks!!

So, I assume that the blower motor on the firewall is not operating? Check for voltage to the blower motor on the purple wire, if none you may need to replace the blower control module located on top of the blower box, (under the fuse & relay panel) on firewall. Do a search for "Blower Control Module" for more info.

Can any one tell me where the heater/accontrol vac. is located on an 88 buick park ave? It has ACC . If this is the culprit, will it cause the blower to blow but have no heat or cool air? Thanks

Do you have air flow out of the vents? Behind the glove box is the heater box and vacuum connections. The glove box will hang down if you move the rubber stops at the back and allow it to open all the way. You can watch the arm on top of the heater box move back and forth as you adjust the temperature up and down. That's electrically operated and it moves a flap inside the heater box blocking the heater core. The other adjustments for the location of the air (windshield, floor, dash vents) are vacuum operated. There's a vacuum connection at the heater box as well. If you don't have air flow and the blower motor is running possibly the impeller has broken or you have obstructions in the A/C evaporator coil.

The air does flow through the vents ,but just not hot or cold. Would you also happen to know what size gas tank it has? Thanks!

Did you check the operation of the metal rod on top of the heater box? You can see it when you drop the glove box open all the way. If you set the heat to full the rod should move towards the passenger side and the reverse for colder. The rod has a bend on the left side that fits into a plastic clip for the heater door inside the heater box. On the right end the rod is threaded and again it fits into a plastic clip and the threads allow adjustment. Sometimes the rod can pull out of either end.
Now, assuming that door works properly you might need to verify that the A/C is in fact cooling the evaporator coil. The compressor may be working but without refrigerant, there's nothing to compress. You can take the cap off the filler valve on one of the aluminum lines next to the fire wall and momentarily press the valve to see if there is pressure. It looks like a tire valve. If there's no pressure then the refrigerant has been lost through a leak.
The gas tank I believe is 60 liters or almost 16 US Gallons.

You are awesome dude!!! It worked ! The rod will not move by itself so I have to do it manually. So whatever controls the auto movement of the rod has gone out. Thank you so much!!!!!!
