Replace to be safe?

Mine is a 97.5 GS. 141000 miles. There is much I replaced. Motor runs great. Is there anything I should watch out for? Never had to do any motor work. I heard stories about CPS. I have no engine codes. Should I replace?

NO, if you aren't having performance issues or the engine is not randomly stalling on you leave the CPS alone. As far as any issues with your car I really don't forsee any of major consequence. Just maintain it properly and you shouldn't have any issues. Just remember, change the tranny fluid and filter as recommended but don't flush the transmission. Especially with the mileage you have on your car.

Thanks GTP Dad. I guess the message is "Why fix it if it's not broke". I guess replacing CPS would not be needed to be replaced unless I have signs of trouble. At 141,000 miles the car purrs like new. I know it may be because the engine is a conventional pushrod motor. At this milage Im concerned about the timing chain. It is original. Im worried that if it snaps under load it may blow my motor. Should I worry about the timing chain? Does the engine need to come out to replace it? I know cars w/ timing belts need to be replaced under normal maintanence. Is that the fact w/ timing chains?

Once again you are worrying about something that really shouldn't be a concern. Timing chains will usually jump timing rather than break like a belt when they jump timing you will know it and then you can replace it. The timing chain in your car is good for a lot of miles and you haven't even gotten close. You can replace it with the engine in the car although it is tight quarters it can be done. Given the mileage on your car if the chain were to jump you would probably want to do a complete rebuild anyway.
