i want a good 4 speed to go behind my 350 not looking to spend a great deal of money in one right now

You need to decide what you want. Do you want a good transmission or a cheap transmission? Unless you trip over a "special" deal, the two are mutually exclusive.
The Muncie is far better than the Saginaw. Actually, the Borg Warner T-10 is far better than the Saginaw... If you're putting out any power to speak of, the Saginaw will live a short life.
Another choice to consider, and more plentiful, is the BW ST-10 (Super T-10). They were what came in '73-newer Corvettes and Trans Ams. MUCH better choice. Muncies are just as tough (maybe a little more) but much harder to find in usable condition.
Prices for "good" Muncies run around $500-$1,000, depending on numbers and condition (certain codes for GTOs and SSs shoot the price up even more, due to restoration values). ST-10s go for $500-$750. Many times, people will pay you to take their Saginaw away (it'll have lots of chunks missing in the gears...).
