Spyder SoftTop Latch-Need Help

Question-- Does anyone know if there is a way to tighten the latches on my soft top. They have become loose and I can't find anywhere to shorten the hook latch to pull my top tighter! *I have a '98 Mitsubishi Eclispe Spyder
