Grand Prix hub for Intrigue?

Need to change the passenger side rear hub that has a bad bearing in it. The local bone yard doesn't have an Intrigue, but their computer came up with a bunch of other GM w-body cars such as Grand Prix, Regal, and Impala, ranging from 1997 to 2001. They claimed these to be direct fit on the Intrigues. Just would like to ask here if it is always true for all models before forking over the cash. By the way my Intrigue is a 2000 GLS, came with Pricision Control System if that matters. Thanks!

Yes the hub should fit just fine.

Why not buy new. Here in Canada I just bought the same hub/bearing for $95 ($85 US) It will be after market and all I can say is it looks and works great. I would not buy any used bearings you may be putting in a rusted-out bearing

I called around and the least expensive after market new came up at CAD$150 a piece plus taxes. Could you share your part source? I'm in Toronto area by the way. Didn't mean to go cheap but at CAD$65 for a stock quality hub used it may worth a gamble.

I got a used one (17,000 miles) from Ed Morad, a very highly reputable used parts dealer in the W,H, and im sure several other body world. Mine was $60 US with a 90-day warranty, Ive had it on for at least 6 months now and its been working great.

Im not sure if he will ship to Canada or not, but his e-mail address is gtped at msn dot com ....just tell him what youre looking for, hes good about communication and it shouldnt take him long to get back.

RockAuto ships to Canada, but you may have customs fees to pay.

GMpartsDirect does not ship to Canada.

Thanks for asking Rolm! Sorry for having not replied to the forum. Haven't get myself around the work yet, the weather has been too good lately to spend time on fixing stuff in the garage. But I'll give the British Auto Supply a shot for sure. Called them last weekend and the price quoted was CAD$75 (??), . I live in mississauga and commute to Burlington to work during the week, so haven't had a chance to actually knock on that store. Will post when the work is done.
