I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer and the driver's side mirror was broken off from the door. The plastic portion was completely broken from the door. What would be the best manner to go about repairing it? It appears difficult to remove the door parts to fix it. Please let me know. Thanks.

Why not ask them over there in the Blazer forum?

It's actually a pretty easy job, just remove the door panel and it's just three bolts and one plug. To remove the door panel you need to remove two or three screws usualy two in the armrest and use a tool like this: http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/vimdt6200.html or a wide screwdriver blade to pop the door panel off, it's just held in place by pop in plastic studs. Drive a blade under the bottom of the panel and slide it back and forth to locate them and pry them off. Don't worry if they snap off when removing the door panel, they're cheap to replace.

The actual mirror replacement instructions are here: http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/19/0e/96/0900823d80190e96/repairInfoPages.htm

If there's a slavage yard near you with a "pull your own parts" policy go pull a junker apart first and get the part before you tackle your's, you'll learn a lot and you be better prepared to do it again on your own rig.

Thanks. It seems easier than I thought. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I did not realize that I was still on the Caprice site. I have a Caprice, also, and registered under it. Thanks.
