so im ready to get flammed.....

ok first off i did SEARCH found nothing cept one of the mods sticky on how to put a 6 bolt in a 2g but all it says is Intake Barrel capacitor. My questions are what is it, what does it do, and anyone got a part number? So i have been searching for like a week now i have called up mitsu and they say noting is on my car in that manner. So after cussing him out telling him i got it in my hand and he says its not there i have decided to post here. Seams like everythime i post on this side of the forums i get flammed though with ppl saying i need to search, now im not saying there totaly wrong, but how do they now i did or didnt search, andway im getting off subject by venting. anyways.


The lil capacitor on the back side of the intake on a 2g eclipse Turbo. I can see where is suppose to go but looks to have broken off with no way to put it back. Is it important?

You are not going to get flammed for this. You did search, and you checked everything. It' better to search on your own and come up with a little something, then not search and it's something easy. I'm not sure exactly what the answer is but I know someone here will and may have an extra or spare to give ya.

Do you have a picture of it? I'm thinking what you have is the ignition power transistor, but a picture would definitely help.

That's not what I was thinking of. IIRC, that's just a resistor or capacitator. Is it bad or what's the problem? I don't think I've ever heard of those causing a problem, but if you need one I have like 10 of them laying around somewhere, although I won't be able to get to them till this weekend at the earliest.

yea that'd be great. mine is just broken off the lil bracket its connected to and arch's on the intake on launch and cause everything to shut down. How much for the lil bastard?

Hmmm.... what is this CAPS thing you are refering to? I did a quick lil search but couldnt find anything. Dont have time to go indepth due to work call formation, but if you dont reply but lunch today then im hot and heavy on this during that time!!!
