I have a 2000 Cougar and just recently the ac/heater stopped working. I had taken my friend to go look at his car thats in the shop getting fixed from being wrecked and I noticed that I had to put the AC on 2 and then 3 later on to get cool, a few days later I had to just put it on 4 to get cool and then one day it just stopped working. So now, neither the ac or heater work. Is there a fise or wiring or something else that could of caused this problem. Can someone please help me because I live in South Tx where it will be getting hot as hell soon and I really would like to fix the AC before then. All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Is it just that it isn't blowing or that when it does blow it doesn't have cold/hot air.
