Ok heres the deal...my car has been running rough on idle and sounding like its going to stall.Only when in drive though not in park.I had my battery checked and they said it had a bad cell and I replaced it. No problems for 2 weeks. Now last night Im in the drive thru and it starts doing the same thing again. This is really bugging me.Is it my amp to my stereo? I tried taking off the amp cable going to the battery and it still did it.Also I have an alarm but I have been keeping it on valet(shuts off all sensors) because it goes off every time it rains and it has been raining alot. Can the alarm be draining the battery? It seems to only do it at night, and when I turn on the ac it really starts stuttering. What could be causing this? Thanks for any help....

Hello
Have you had your alt. checked? It may not be putting out enough to run the car with the lights and other items on. Also, are you asking about the 99 you mention in your profile? I've seen bad grounds do what you're discribing. Check your grounds and output of your alt.
Regards
Dan

Hi again.....I had the alt checked and he said it was ok.He said that my battery cables needed to be replaced and I needed new connectors.Right after that my check engine light came on as it was sitting there and he hooked up the checker to it and it was a missfire code.He said it could be the spark plugs or the wires also.Could the shitty battery connection cause a missfire code?

How many miles on the car? Have the plugs and/or plug wires ever been changed? More info would be helpful.

missfire could be in your coil pack..some have 3 in a row that are seperate and some are all in one pack on coils.....good luck....

Hello.....my car is a 99 lesabre with 50,000 miles on it. I had one coil replaced about 3 years ago along with all the spark plugs but I dont think they replaced the wires....

Hello
Bad battery cables will cause the problems you're talking about. Replace them first.
