since the fuel trims are still being learned by the PCM, I haven't been able to fully test the new setup, but I will say in the few blips of the throttle and the one 25-75 run, the car is definitely a stronger runner, the install went pretty smooth with a few snags a long the way(misplaces a valve lock, had to hunt it down, had a spark plug start to free spin so I had to remove it, and had a bad misfire on the initial startup on cylinder #4, replaced the plug with another one, checked the plug wire on the coil and tried again, and it started up fine)...
i'll be glad to put some more miles on it so I can try it out...

its a magnaflow, though its something I wouldn't buy new, its not worth the money for the reward, but when a member went turbo with his car on my grand prix board(actually the guy helping me in the 1st picture) and got rid of the exhaust setup he was running, I got his highflow cat for like $20, figured it couldn't hurt anything...

Looks good, and I imagine it sounds good too! How long did it take you?

about 12 hours, but we took our time being very careful and took several breaks, none stop, it could have been done in 4 hours or so... we made a day out of it, rushing a job leads to problems...

Slow and steady...or something like that! I imagine the back 6 were difficult too!

just getting all of the stuff out of the way to get to the valve covers was time consuming, we put a jack under the car on the transmission with the dog bones loose and rolled the engine forward, honestly, in removing the old parts and putting the springs, retainers, and rockers in, there probably wasn't but an hour and a half of actual work... the hardest part its getting stuff out of the way so you can work, and then all of the setbacks we had(though none were "major")... We also did the back 1st, that way once we got those 6 done, it was a cake walk home, the smart way to do it...

enough to make a lot of GT Mustangs cry :D
honestly, I wouldn't know... probably in the 265-270whp/315-320ft.-lb range, according to what others are putting down on clubgp... that is a huge jump over stock considering the money I have under the hood, here is my "cost" of parts under the hood of my car:
K&N CAI: $215 shipped on ebay... this is the best place to get them, everyone else wants $259 + shipping for them... you see on ebay constantly for these cars alot cheaper than summit/etc...
Magnaflow Highflow Cat: $35 shipped(bought off my local car board from a guy who went with a turbo setup). around $60 new
3" Downpipe: $45 local exhaust shop(included having the cat welded onto it): zzperformance.com for $115(for the stainless one, which is one like I have on my car)
Digital Horespower 1.0 PCM: $100 + core(now you can get them for $69.95 + core)
3.5" Press On Supercharger Pulley: $35 shipped(bought off clubgp from a guy who was going to mod his car, then got married)... Roughly $50 new
ZZP Solid Polyurethane Motor Mounts: $20 shipped(local Grand Prix board).$60 new
1.9 Roller Rockers: $200(local grand prix board, really low mileage, guy traded his gtp for a gto shortly after putting them on). $60 new. this is where I got a deal, mine have less than 3,000 miles on them and I know the owner so know that isn't a load of b.s., these rockers are $399.99 brand new, so I got them practically new for half price...
LS6 springs and rocker install kit: $150,
so you're looking at roughly 55whp for $800(brand new price around $1075), I wish it all was that cheap... of course I have more money than this in the car with the wheels, tips, and a few other cosmetic enhancements, but in actual performance parts it went from a high 14 second car to a high 13(hopefully 13.7-13.8s of course who knows, could be faster or slower but based on the 1/8th mile time and its trap, we're estimating 13.7s) second car with less than a $1000 under the hood, not many cars out there you can say that about that, especially ones that get 23mpg, have 4 doors(with a huge trunk), and that a person my age can actually afford insurance on, not only that people know my car when they see its, its not like another mustang driving up and down the road, and when they hear the blower(which is loud as hell) they don't really know what to think about it... Another interesting note is that when I added the smaller pulley, I actually gained a little gas mileage(when the car is driven properly, though because of my lead foot, its rare I see this improvement)... and the rockers are actually suppose to increase it a little as well, a guy with a turbo GTP(pushing out around 400whp and 450 ft.-lbs.) averaged 27mpg on the highway on his way home from a meet, that is just crazy...

i'd start with a 180 degree thermostat($8 at napa, just ask for one for a '97-'03 gtp, they will tell you they don't have one for our cars, they do, its the same damn part)... then i'd do the downipe, intake and PCM, they really wake the car up... but the fun mods are still up ahead...

easiest way is to make a photobucket account and upload it there, then you need to resize the photo to the website/email(320X240) option to be a proper size for a signature... then just copy the URL and paste it in the edit signature option... If you want to post a normal sized picture in a topic, just copy and paste the URL of the photo in your message, no resizing is needed...
