Check this guy out!! He SCRATCHBUILT a Ferrari race car...I'd guess in the 1/6 scale, it took him 15 years, 3 years drawing upt the diagrams, another 12 for assembly... but here's the real kicker... with working boxer 12 engine, 6 gear transmission, working odometer, etc. etc.!!
I'm just blown away!!

I remember seeing this on Top Gear (motor show on TV in the UK) a few years ago, it wasn't finished then, but the engine worked, it was an incredible feat.

O MY GOD
That guy has WAAAAAYYYYY too much free time! :bloated:
I was floored when I saw he built a real working gear box and all the engine parts!
He could take home all sorts of best of show prizes at the model contests!!
If I could just have 1/10 of 1% of his talent in makeing car stuff I would be 1000% better at what I do!! :crying:

I've seen this a couple of times. It's amazing peice of engineering (is it modelling?). I heard he sold it to finance a working GT40:eek: ...
I'm toying with a large scale model, probably a Porsche 962C in fiberglass. Not working, just for display, but I got a growing stack of kits to get through first :D

:sun: Simply Amazing!! Thank You for this post! He should really think about hooking up some temporary servos some kind of way with a custom radio and running that car on a test track a few laps!
