Spyder Replacement/broken clip

In the process of changing my spyder, one of the injector clips broke when I was Removing it. It broke on one side just below the bump that holds the injector in. I'm replacing the spider with another used one and had one clip break on that one too the same way. Minimum pressure squeeze and they just broke! Can I use a good injector and feeder tube from the other spyder? I see the feeder tubes are held in place with a small bracket with a star shaped nut or bolt, with a small pin in the center of the star pattern holding it on. If I manage to find this tool to remove the bracket, can I remove the feeder tube from the spyder assembly? Hope I'm not up sh** creek without a paddle and have to get a whole new spyder.(Please say it aint so) I was being so careful after the clip broke while taking out the first spyder, but the plastic retaining clip just snapped like a dry twig when gripped. If the bolt/nut holding the bracket in place has a name,I'd hunt one down sooner if anyone knows it. Thanks

Well I took the spyder to the dealership mechanic and they say it is one complete unit and cannot be serviced. The bolt/nut holding the bracket in place that holds the spyders "legs" in place is designed so people dont take it apart. Looks to me like the feeder tubes attach to the body like the fuel inlet/outlet tubes do, if I could only get the bolt out. The parts guy there looked at it and quoted me $500 for a new one and smiled. :| I say five hundred bucks over a plastic clip is nuts. I saw autozone has new one for $296. Only options I have are expensive, so I may try to use some epoxy to repair the clip and see if it holds first. I wish they had made the clips out of metal if the plastic is going to become brittle and break at the touch. I could use some luck about now because I'm broker than broke and can't afford this cluster****. Already spent the house bill money to cover my astro. :(

Well- I used the epoxy and it held the clip just fine. I installed the spyder and all injectors snapped into place, and I tripple checked them to be sure. I hooked the battery up and turned on the key so there was fuel pressure to the system,no leaks. Cranked the key a few times,no leaks. Repeated enough to be sure. I just finished putting it all back together and it should fire up.( I'm Praying) I could go out and start it now,but I won't. I think I could use one nights good sleep. When it starts Sunday morning I'll feel a whole lot less stressed, than if I try now and find a glitch (which I won't). Positive karma in the morning sounds better. ;) Wish some my way, I'll take all my family and Astro can get at this point!

Happy Sunday! Took the van for a test drive and it passed with flying colors so far. Its going on a 50 mile drive to work tomorrow and if it passes that test, then its off to Oshkosh for a 100 mile round trip. So far I haven't had to spend the 300-500 dollars due to a 1/2 broken plastic clip on the spyder and I'm going to experiment with the old spyder to see if indeed those feeder tubes can be replaced or not,I found the socket to fit it (safety torque). Thanks for the positive karma. I think it worked.

It's been almost 2 weeks and 700 miles, so far all's well. Appears the epoxy has held the injector clip arm in place. I didn't glue the clip into the hole, I glued the arm back onto the retaining clip. Replaced the engine temp. sender and it still didn't work for a week, but started working 4 days ago by itself. Still may need to replace the brain chip to get the egr code 32 problem fixed since it's only there that the problem seems to be based. Otherwise the van has more power and runs better than ever. Oh and I tried taking the spyder apart, the legs must be held in place inside the main body and I couldn't remove them. Yet.
