Replacing the instrument cluster

My instrument cluster went berzerk. I bought one off of ebay to replace it. Just curious if I can just plug the cluster in and go, or if there is anything I need to do like take it to the dealer to get reprogrammed. It has the digital odometer. Will the odometer read the correct mileage? Because the 'new' cluster is coming from a vehicle with about twice as many miles on it as mine.

If you know, let me know.

Thanks

I have the same problem on an 05 Montana non sv-6. Has anyone done the replacement. Can you share?

I believe you can just install it and go. You don't really have to have it recalibrated to the mileage you originally had on your van , but it is a good idea to keep track of the difference and to make it known to potential buyers that the odometer is not the actual mileage of the van. On most state vehicle titles there is a place to check off that states "odometer mileage not the actual mileage." It is the law and there can be consequences for those who do not follow it.
