hello to everyone just wanted your opinions on what I had in mind for my 90' civic ef. first of all it's an a/t, and i wanted to keep it a/t. was thinking of putting a b16 a/t engine in it, and eventually other minor mods to it(intake, header, exhaust) and suspension. i know it will lose some power being an a/t, but I think it would be a one of a kind car, plus i love my lil' hatch don't wanna lose it anytime soon. what do you guys think out there about my thoughts. thanks in advance.

Well you'd probably have to find an auto trans from some other bseries motor, maybe from an integra. I think you may have to source an ecu off of an auto gsr integra and convert to whatever obd corresponds, since you need the ecu to have both vtec and be auto.

Consider getting an LS or a B20 instead of a B16..especially with an automatic tranny, you'll appreciate the added torque. Plus it's a lot cheaper than a B16..

wow, i didn't know that. do you happen to know how much cheaper (estimated) it would be than a b16? and also would the b20 be a easy swap or a complicated one?

it's at least $500-$1000 cheaper. only thing with a b20 is you'll have to swap the intake manifold with an ls or aftermarket one. Stock B20 intake will not fit in our cars. swap is pretty standard too, less wiring cuz no vtec.

Its basically an ls swap. You need to run an ls intake and sensors, if you want to run obd0, which is the easiest way to go IMO. The stock CRV auto tranny will not fit in our cars, so you need to find an ls auto tranny, driveplate, torque converter and all that tranny crap.
