Question

How much hp does a 96 V6 come with stock. I own a rice rocket, so...
I was drivin on this strip of road I frequent and a guy in a V6 camaro pulls next to me and we start racin. It was a 40 roll just about, and i started pullin on him. I eventually beat him when we got to about 70 and i slowed cause thats way too fast on this road. Well i heard the guy shifting and he missed the shift to 3rd I think it was, whatever gear it was he still missshifted.

So it wasnt a legit win, but i just wanted to know how close it would have been.

Any help would be great

yeh Black_97'Z is right on the hp and torque specs. I used to own a 96 V6 camaro 5 speed. I kind of miss the torque....but I love high revving engines more:D The 3800 series II engine has got some balls. I beat a lot of cars in that thing. Too bad it was purple (well...technically cyclamen..:p ) From a dead stop, you would've been murdered by that thing...five speed or automatic.
