lost keys

my daughter lost the keys to her 93 taurus wagon and called the dealers around here to give them the vin number and get a new key. they told her the car was too old for them to do that. any ideas?

Locksmith should be able to remove the cylinder and make a new key for your current ignition switch. I'm not saying it will be cheap but I know a locksmith can do it. Or it may be cheaper to replace the lock cylinder yourself.

Good new is that the car is also too old to have a "PATS" key system that would of cost you an extra $300 on top of things.
