need help rebuilding 88 grand prix

im putting a chevy 350 crate motor nto a 88 grand prix. Putting the motor in isnt the issue i would like some ideas on boosting the hp. Im on a fairly tight budget so its being done in stages and where i can making the pats as needed.
what are some of my options on boosting her up?

I'm assuming this is a 88 Grand Prix rear wheel drive? Since you're on a budget, remember a few things.
1. Bigger is not better on a street car. Make sure all your components are matched to the way you will drive it. Do not go putting a .540" lift, 320 duration cam, 850 CFM carb and 14:1 domed pistons in this car.
2. Torque rules the street, hp rules the track. Keeping the optimum power band in the 1500-6000 range will make a very driveable, quick street car.
3. Speed costs. In addition to the go-fast goodies for the engine, you'll need to upgrade the cooling system, chassis and transmission to handle the additional power. Even a mildly built engine with no stall converter and a highway gear will fall on it's face out of the hole.
You need to evaluate how this car will be driven most of the time, and build it to fit that scenario. Trying to build an 11 second daily driver is unrealistic, so don't try. You can build a 350hp streetable car that will run on 87 octane pump gas that will get you low into the 13's, but still get 15-16 MPG around town (when you keep your foot out of it).
