Well im 16 going to turn 17 in a couple of months and i want a car. I want a decently fast car. AWD would be nice too since i live in Jersey and winters can get bad. My budget is $12,000 tops

Cars i have been looking at:
-Subaru wrx (probably too expensive,AWD!,Turbo!)
-Subaru 2.5rs (seems slow, AWD!)
-Audi a4 1.8t (nice features but kinda ugly, AWD!,Turbo!)
-3rd gen Eclipse GTS(Heard they are not reliable)
-Ford Mustang GT (Eh not the best)
-Any others you would like to tell me about?

2.5 rs (assuming sedan 02-up)- recommended choice, not super quick, but has a little pickup compared to others and better on gas compared to WRX, and AWD makes it almost just as fun to drive.

WRX-Might be expensive for a sedan, but you can get a wagon for that price, it's just as good plus you get cargo space, oh wait, you're 16, never mind.

A4- sweet cars, but pretty unreliable if not maintained properly, expensive to maintain, not extremely fast, but can be made much faster somewhat easily

GTS- Yes unreliable, but then again its the only Eclipse i would ever buy

Ford- :shakehead

For other options-Impreza's from 96-on are good and is what i think you should do. Wagon or sedan. No they're not quick but again they are fun cars to drive around with and i think that's just as good. Coupes 99-01 (i believe) are pretty sweet and really really good ones cost around 10 grand.

This kid is 16. A turbo AWD beast like an Evo isn't suited for a 16 year old. WRX is same way to a lesser extent, so i said 2.5RS (Coupes are nice). A Lancer Ralliart is a better option.

JAK 3: Whatever you choose, I strongly recommend against getting a turbo car for your first car as i believe there is a lot more power in a turbo vehicle than what a very young driver needs for a first car. Learn how to drive in the real driving world first for a few years before you step it up a notch, the WRXs, Evos, etc. will be around for quite a while.

Eh, not bad coupes. Personally i think the Acura RSX Type-S is a better option.

Note: Most of these cars will make your insuranse go through the roof, if that matters.
