Cruise Control stopped working

98 GMC Jimmy 4x4. I have cleaned the multi fuction switch and checked/ replaced the fuse. Still not working. Any ideas where to go from here. Cleaning my switch did stop the *clicking*, but did not fix my cruise control.

Go under the hood and follow the throttle cable and spray where the throttle cable and the cruise control cable meet with either WD 40, PB Blaster or Lithium grease. Good luck

Fuse and power to it?
Any codes stored?
Rear high mount brake light working?
Brake light switch working?

Thanks for the info. It turned out to be the little connector that attaches the cable to the throttle. It is broke but on there for now and my cruise is working. Any idea where I might find a new connector? Thanks for the help guys!!
