How do you clean the pulleys. I have replaced the serpentine belt and the noise stops for a few months than comes back only when its cold and then goes away. Now it is squeaking all the time. Please Help!! Thanks Any other suggestions?

You may also want to check the belt tensioner. They do wear out after a while. As for cleaning the pulleys, I would imagine they can be cleaned the same way you would clean anything else.

Unless something is spitting oil or antifreeze on the belt I would say you need a new belt tensioner. They are easy to replace and usually between $40 and $75.

I would maybe use pb blaster. Just be sure it doesn't eat away rubber!!!

The tensioner and idle pulleys have a sealed bearing (well kind of) and you can spray alittle silicon or other in them and if that stops the noise change it - will not stay quiet. Don't get spray all over the belt!
