carbon build up

Hi I have a 95 talon tsi awd w/ a 92 head. when my car starts to hit boost it starts jerkin and bogging like crazy, when i took out the spark plugs there was carbon buildup around the tip of it, when i cleaned it off it ran fine for a couple minutes untill it started to do it again with more carbon build up around the plugs. i use the NGK copper plugs and i changed them about 1.5k miles ago, i am also running stock plug wires (heard stock plug wires dont cut it for upgraded cars?) also when i tried to pull out the plug wire from the second spark plug the metal tip that goes into the plug wire was stuck onto the spark plug, if that might have anything to do with it? lol, the plug wires were changed maybe about 7-8 months ago. i have on the car a large 16g turbo and pushing 15 lbs. I thought it might possibly be a boost leak but i heard that if you do infact have a boost leak that the aftermarket boost gauge would not work correctly? o.O thanks

You need to replace the spark plug that you pulled apart. That will cause some funny ignition issues.

From what I have read, the stock plug wires should be fine under minor-moderate mods, granted that they are in good shape. Yours do not sound like they are. Might want to spring for some new plug wires (some nice aftermarket might be good in your situation) and while your at it might as well try some new plugs also, they are cheap. NGK BPR7ES gapped at .028".

Is there any oil in the spark plug wells or on the plugs at all when you pull them?

My TPS sensor was un-plugged...i feel very very dumb.. Lol

a big 16g at 15 lbs of boost, do you have any fuel mods?

Yeah, the TPS could a real problem... though you might wanna do a tuneup on it, and a quick boost leak test, just to be on the safe side (that'll make you hit fuel cut and run rich enough to foul plugs :2cents:)

Yes, fuel mods are a MUST if you want to keep from blowing that thing to pieces.
