My Blazer has 184k on it. It has a new noise. The noise is somewhere between a rattle and a buzz and only happens when I accelerate. This has been going on for about a month I guess. Yesterday, the service engine soon light came on.
Any ideas what is causing the buzz? It sounds like it's coming from the front of the vehicle (as opposed to the exhaust which was recently worked on...)

Was the buzzing noise there when you had the work done on your exhaust? or was it just so noisey that you could'nt here it? If I understand the noise correctly it mat be something came loose in the catalytic converter. has this check engine light affected the performance since it came on . Sounds like you better get the the zone and have them pull the codes!

No, the exhaust was repaired a while ago. The two are unrelated. Probably just need to disconnect the battery cables again. :-) The car is just this side of the "bailing wire & duct tape" phase.
It is not coming from the exhaust. The "Air Bag" light has been on for about 2 years now too. Hahaha...
