Hello again... My question is ,what would a normal temp range be for a AX4N trans? In addition, how much cooler should my trans be, using an aftermarket trans cooler. As In, approx how many degress cooler can i expect it to run?

What year Taurus are you referring to?
For a 1998 Taurus with the AX4N transmission, the transmission fluid temperature (TFT) sensor is specified to work up to 302 degrees Fahrenheit, so I guess the temperature should be something less than that.
I don't know what temperature delta you should expect from an auxilliary cooler.

I got info from an interesting thread: " I have Hayden units in front of each of my cooling fans and don't have any problems. On a 107F day in city driving my tranny was about 185F today it was 79 and on the turnpike doing 85mph it was 121." http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=629778&highlight=transmission+cooler
Sounds good to me 'cause a cool running tranny lasts longer, heck, engine coolant runs hotter than that. Mobil 1 makes full synthetic MerconV and that's good stuff stands up to heat better.
