1992 crown vic prclems

Ok i need help. I have a problem with the brake light on my crown vic. It is on constantly. The parking brake isn't stuck on. I was wondering if this year was made with brake pad sensors or what might be the prob

Try pulling the parking brake up by hand see if the light turns off. If that does not work there is a switch at the top of the parking brake pedal that might be stuck. Also check you brake fluid level these cars did come with a brake fluid level sensor that can trigger the light. If you do find the brake fluid level low check for leaks as pressure loss from a leaking line will also trigger the light.

Ok so i did all of that thanks for the help. I decided to take the wheel off and look at the breaks and it was the break pads that were wor down basicly falling off. I am now awear that there is a break pad sensor and if the break light stays on it is worth while to look at the breaks and or rotor.

I suspect that the brakes are wasted like he said and the fluid level has dropped to below the sensor in the master cylinder. No pad sensors on any Crown Vic I know of.

Sort of like when the red oil light comes on to tell you that you're out of oil. LOL
