Thinking of Trading it in...

I'm thinking about trading in the 2000 Trooper LS on a 2007 Honda Pilot EX-L 4WD.

What do you think?

With 155,000 miles, what would be a decent trade-in value for the vehicle? It has TOD, an aftermarket Sony 10-disc CD player, aftermarket running boards, and an aftermarket 2" hitch. The body is in OK shape; lots of small chips on the grill and front of the hood and some small scrapes on the passenger side rear fender. It runs very well (for an oil hungry Isuzu that is).

I'd like to see your thoughts on the matter.

Thanks.

Doesn't matter what your upgrades are, unfortunately, point is you have a 2000 Isuzu with 155k miles; probably looking at $3-4k. Check your kelly blue book for trade-in value.

Bad thing for you, is the *Isuzu* name doesn't hold value well, even under 100k miles; but, it's a good thing for the next buyer of your Trooper.

Dealer's don't typically care about upgrades though.

I was going to say 4K and then they will clean it up and list it for 6k.

If it is not giving you much troubles, drive it for a couple more years and save the cash for a bigger down-payment on the next truck or more toys.

I may just keep it and use it as a "work" vehicle. I have a 1990 Mustang 5.0L 5-speed that I want to restore, but I'm using it for work now. This may provide me with the opportunity to park it.

Thanks,
