I'm looking for someone that has done exhaust manifolds in the crown vics. I might attempt to do mine. Just wondering if you have any tips. I do have torches to heat up the studs. Just kinda wondering what the easiest way to get to them is? Thanks

The easiest way to swap them is to remove the motor. Other than that, raise it up as high as you can, you may need to loosen the motor mounts if they are weak to give enough clearance to remove them. Then it is just a slow process. Be prepared for some of the exhaust studs to break or already be broken. It is not a fun job at all. Good luck.

Ok. Thanks. Maybe I'll just deal with it.

It will eventually get worse and if you keep going on it, other studs may snap off. way2old is right about removing the engine to make it easier. That job is a bear.

make sure to use anti seize or a special bolt for replacements.. its worth the investment in the event you have to take it apart again down the road
