Found this lil gem on ebay, and Im a HUGE fan of 1st Gen RX-7's. So I snatched it up and started on it...

Color is Duplicolor Deep Jewel Green. In the sun its beautiful, but doesnt have clear coat yet. So itll shine once it gets that. Box stock except color.

Well, finished the chassis. Heres the final stance and the dash. Do any of you have tips for decals? I have never decaled before, and im kinda scared, but i wanna do the gauge cluster and a few others. I gotta learn sometime.

Looks nice, great colour also, oh and is that front tyre meant to sit like that because it is sitting very far back.

Yup. Its fujimi. The instructions show a motor, but no motor in the kit. Lol.

Im pretty sure the tire sits that far back for turning, so the front doesnt rub because the tires are pretty wide.

So right after I did the details on the dash and realized how unsteady my hand it, I figured out people use toothpicks to pick out those details... Lol.

Anyways, Im workin on the car tomorrow, but still would like a few tips for decals. I tried warm water on a sheet of other decals, and they kept breaking when i tried to slide them off the backing.

That'll piss you off the most - having an unsteady hand when it counts

Decals are pretty basic TBO. Don't soak them too much! How old is the kit? I am not the most knowledgeable, but they might be more brittle if older?

Use a blade and slide underneath the decals when they are soft. Don't drag them off if you can.
